Treant Guide
Very high Health, Health-granting Supports and Attack that scales with Health.
What Treants do
Treants are the type for players who want a board that will not break. The numbers are the evidence: Ironbark Ancient has 20 Health, Withered Orchard has 18, Ashen Elder has 15, Cinderroot Titan has 20 and Verdant Colossus has 30. Withered Orchard also reduces the Health of anything that attacks it to 1.
The type is also a Support family. Sapling Root gives +3 Health from the back row, Verdant Colossus gives +10 Health, and Heartwood Warden gives a Treant Support bonus of +2/+2 at the start of each brawl, permanently. Ashen Elder turns Health into Attack for your Treants, and Cinderroot Titan copies Attack bonuses onto its Health. Echobark copies bonuses your other characters gain during a brawl.
Early Treants are small and grow with time: Sprightly Sapling gains +2 Health every turn and Thorn hands out Attack when it dies.
The shop sells 13 characters of this type, across tiers 2 to 6. 3 have a Support ability, 0 start with Flying and 1 starts with Ranged. The tables below come straight from the game’s data.

What buffs Treants
No other shop character mentions Treants in its rules text, so Treants are not buffed by name. Alignment buffs for Good and Evil characters still apply, and the character guide lists them.
Positioning
Slots 1 to 4 are the front row and slots 5 to 7 the back row; the rules guide explains how rows decide who gets attacked.
- The high-Health Treants make good front-row anchors, since ordinary attackers choose a random living character in the front row.
- Sapling Root, Heartwood Warden and Verdant Colossus have Support text, so they give their bonus to the front-row slots they cover from the back row: slot 5 covers 1 and 2, slot 6 covers 2 and 3, slot 7 covers 3 and 4.
- Green Marksman is Ranged, so it can attack from the front row without taking counter-damage.
